Special Delivery

How cute is this little sign for a new baby's room?  I used some retired SU DSP and So Many Scallops Stamp Set (also retired, sorry!).  A friend asked me to do up a baby gift for her so I took it as a chance to dig through supplies I've had for a while.  I have so much chipboard and never use it.  I do like how the letter circles came out.  I would like some other ideas on getting them to be a solid color though.  Any time I can use the Owl Punch is a treat!  Although I made up 5 different owls, I only used one today...more treats for later.

Stay tuned for some wedding invitation ideas later in the week, too.  I know it's hard to believe but those fantastic weather people are predicting more snow!  Cross your fingers the kid's have school everyday this week.  June is going to be a long month at this rate...

Happy Stamping,
Amy

Daisies for Spring!

Today I was out shopping with my daughter, spending time at the bookstore (where I peeked through lots of stamping mags) and poking around the local craft store.  Everywhere we went had spring decorations...St. Patrick's Day, flowers, gardening and more.  I wanted to share my Upsy Daisy MDS card.  I used Cajun Craze, Marina Mist and Crumb Cake for colors.  This was one of our challenges for Clearly Creative this month and the combo really grew on me.  The Upsy Daisy Stamp Set (page 112 #111710) was one that I originally overlooked thinking it was too limiting.  Now, I think it might have found a spot on my wish list!

My Digital Studio has so much to offer!  I am learning more each day and look forward to sharing it with all of you.  Enjoy the little things!

Keep Creating,
Amy

Sunny Garden Box

Today one of the women in my stamping group sent out a question regarding a box...some how that lead to me finding a die cut somewhere in the internet world and that then turned into today's post.  Sometimes I wonder just how things happen.

For the most part, I am happy with this little box which holds up to 10 A1 cards.  I'm not sure I like the scalloped edge along the top but I love the little flower and tag.  I am a big fan of the In Color Stitched-Poly Ribbon (page 190 IBC). Very natural and easy to work with.  With any luck I'll have the cards to go inside the box and a template done by the weekend.
Supplies:  Wild Wasabi Textured Card Stock, Sunny Garden DSP, Poppy Parade Stitched Poly Ribbon, Afterthoughts Stamp Set.

More snow on the way... Happy Shoveling!

One More Valentine...

When the current Idea Book & Catalog came out in July, the stamp set on the top of my wish list was Greeting Card Kids.  I just loved the vintage feel and the adorable kids.  This was surprising since vintage is not usually my thing.  I did lots with the set for the Christmas holiday and was excited to use it for Valentine's Day.  Sadly, the little girl is not photographing well because I wrinkled the paper and antiqued it with Crumb Cake ink.  Hopefully you'll get the idea though.  What are you making for your sweet this year?

Supplies: Card Stock:  Naturals Ivory Card, Perfect Plum & Melon Mambo layers.  Metal edged tag sponged with Crumb Cake ink and basic pearls to finish.  The two layers were cut using the Big Shot's Top Note Die Cut.

Valentine Treat

This is a card I found today and CASE'd from Lauriesrubberroom.blogspot.com.  I just loved the owls and the simplicity.  Not sure which my favorite is now, the owls or the birds...Let me know what you think!
On the owl card I used Real Red and the Birds were done in Melon Mambo.  Whisper White and Basic Black were the only other additions.  I love the White Organza ribbon so a little gathered strip of that finished off the card.  The stamp set is You & Moi (retired, sorry!) but the new set Valentine Defined in the Occasions Mini would work beautifully!
Looks like we might have yet another snow day this week so stay tuned...

A "My Digital Studio" kind of day

The house is clean, dinner's done and the kids are finally back at school (only after a two hour delay, though!)...I've spent some time today working on My Digital Studio, software by Stampin' Up!  It's so much fun seeing just how many different things that can be done.  Today I made a Hello Friend card and a Christmas card...a bit late!  These are my first attempts, although my 12 year old daughter has made many.  Let me know what you think!

My Digital Studio gives you lots of flexibility in design and embellishments.  Click Here for more information.

Another Snow Day???

Another snow day home with my kids. That's two in less that a week and those lovely weather people are calling for more white stuff on Friday! Well, I guess that means lots of time to stamp!

Today I cleaned up my mess from the weekend birthday parties we made things for and with that big open space, I did a couple of challenges. My card stock supply is limited until my next order arrives so I challenged myself to use only scraps today. I also did the Waltzingmouse Sketch challenge for this week and combined the two.

Supplies:
Concord Crush: 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 card, 1" x 1 1/5, 1 1/2 x 1 3/4
Daffodil Delight: 1 1/2 x 3 3/4, 1 1/2 x 1 3/4, large tag punch
Melon Mambo: 1 1/2 x 2 1/4
Whisper White: 2 pieces of 4 x 5 1/4, 1 x 1 1/4, 1 1/4 x 3 1/2, small tag punch
Brights Flower Brads
Silver Gel Pen

Be sure to stamp images on Whisper White before adhering to card. Layer as shown and add your own personal touch!
